Every trial contains plots that should not be in the analysis: poor establishment, a gap, lodging, a border effect. They are usually discovered at the end, if at all, when it is too late to re-score or re-sample and the only option left is to argue about exclusions.
PhenoScale flights, complemented by Literal ground imaging where finer resolution is needed, deliver standardized traits on every plot: Plot Quality, Plot Quality Score, Plant Gaps Percentage, Plant Count and Plant Lodging. Cloverfield combines them into a per-plot and per-trial quality index with anomaly flags.
Problematic plots surface automatically while the season is still running, so teams can re-score, re-sample or exclude on objective grounds and enter analysis with a trial whose quality is documented rather than assumed.
